Professor Hugh Cohen has been an Adjunct Professor at the
Goizueta Business School at Emory University since 1994, when he moved
from Georgia State University. He has taught MBA and/or undergraduate
classes in: Capital Markets, Derivatives, Economics, Financial
Markets, Fixed Income, and Investments. Professor Cohen has also
managed three hedge funds and is a former Senior Economist at the
Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta where he oversaw the Bank's financial
team. Professor Cohen has a Ph.D. in Operations Research from Cornell
University where his dissertation was in fixed income derivative
pricing models, has published articles in theoretical, practical, and
regulatory journals and won multiple teaching awards. In April 2008, a
claimant he testified for in a mortgage matter received a verdict of
over $26 million against Bear Stearns.
A.F.R. also employs one analyst and one senior associate to assist with financial research related to ongoing case work. The use of proprietary tools, such as Bloomberg L.P. and FTI Interactive, are utilized to ensure quality analysis.
